Baseball Physical Therapy in Torrance, CA
Where Baseball Rehab Meets the Diamond
PRIME is the only PT practice in the South Bay inside a baseball facility. Rehab and training live in the same building — no conflicting advice, no gap between recovery and sport.

Why Most Baseball Athletes Never Fully Come Back to the Mound
Your Coach and Your PT Are Saying Different Things
Conflicting instructions from coaches and physical therapists is one of the most common reasons throwing athletes stall in recovery. When your PT doesn't understand baseball mechanics — and your coach doesn't know your injury — you're left in the middle trying to figure it out yourself.
Throwing Rehab in a General PT Setting
Most PT facilities don't have the space — or the sport-specific knowledge — to run you through interval throwing progressions or assess your mechanics under load. You finish rehab on a table and show up to practice hoping for the best.
Returning Too Early Without a Structured Program
Clearing a baseball athlete to throw before their arm is ready — or without a structured interval program — is one of the leading causes of re-injury. Season pressure and return timelines shouldn't drive the decision. Objective testing and a graduated protocol should.

PRIME's lead therapist is a certified Baseball Rehab Specialist — with throwing programs, coaching staff communication, and 1:1 DPT care all under one roof.

Frequently Asked Questions
Questions from baseball athletes and parents about throwing injury care and return-to-sport programs at PRIME.
My son's shoulder hurts but his coach says to keep throwing. What should we do?
This is exactly the situation PRIME and Beimel were built to solve. A 60-minute evaluation will tell you what's actually going on in the shoulder or elbow, and Dr. Abby can communicate directly with the coaching staff to coordinate a plan that protects the arm without pulling the athlete off the field entirely when it isn't necessary.
Does the PT understand baseball mechanics and throwing demands?
Yes. We have a certified Baseball Rehab Specialist on staff who works alongside the Beimel coaching staff and understands the demands of throwing — velocity, pitch counts, arm care — integrating that knowledge directly into the treatment plan.
Will you coordinate with our team's athletic trainer?
Yes. Communication with other providers — team athletic trainers, surgeons, or coaches — is part of the process at PRIME. The goal is a unified plan, not competing voices pulling the athlete in different directions.
Do Beimel Elite Athletics members get any benefits at PRIME?
Yes. Current Beimel members receive discounted PT services and have access to bundled Beimel and PRIME membership options. They also have direct access to a Doctor of Physical Therapy for consultations — a benefit that's only possible because PT and baseball training share the same building.
Do you accept insurance for baseball rehab?
PRIME is cash-based — no in-network insurance is accepted. We accept credit card, debit, HSA, and FSA. Superbills are available for clients who want to submit to their insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
